Signing Off… Halllooo!! Still me, Khryss.           So that’s it. This is the end of my journey which brings a lot of pain to me. There’s a lot of things that this experience taught me but please let me say some of it. This experiences taught me how to deal with other people with different nationality, religion and at the same time to learn others language. Also this gave me an opportunity to learn more on their language and teach them also about ours. I also had the chance to express my thoughts not only in words but also through my actions. It’s my pleasure to have the chance to experience their culture and was able to share our culture. I was able to hone my English communication skills and at the same time enhance their English communication skills. This practicum has a fast pace. I think two weeks are not enough for us to observe the teacher and another two weeks to enhance the English communication skills of our students because we know for a fact that pupils in Indonesia

Weeks of Teaching Yes, it’s me again… So this is the continuation of my practice teaching in SDN-SN Pasar Lama 1. I just want to tell you the summary of my practice teaching up to the evaluation day. Actually, I made 4 lesson plans and I used them all in teaching days in Pasar Lama 1. And in doing this lesson plan, I learned how to budget my time in teaching, what are the things that I should highlights most and give emphasis to my pupils. The pupils are all participating in our discussion especially when Dr. Fifi (My supervisor from ULM) unexpectedly visits me to observe in class and to know how do I teach. *My Class with my Mentor and Supervisor* So I was totally nervous by that time, I am so blessed because I usually settle everything before going to school. The day that Dr. Fifi observed me was 1st of February. As I said, my pupils are all active to participate with our discussion which is Adding Fraction. But I had the trouble of executing my lessons when it comes to co

Practice Teaching So guysss???? this is it!!!! This is the time that I really felt very nervous, weak and very tensioned. * Day of teaching Gymnastic.*  I had my first actual teaching last 30th of January, 2019 and that was Wednesday Morning. I was so nervous when I’m about to speak because there’s a big burden in me the big possibility that my students will not really understand me because I’m speaking English not Bahasa but I tried to learn a little Bahasa like duduk (sit down) and Bagus (Very good). *Discussing my Tematik Subject*  Before we talk about what happen in my teaching, I want to share what I did in my lesson plan. I used the lesson plan we are using in Philippines because the headmaster asked as to do the lesson plan that we are comfortable to do with. My first lesson plan is about the sub-team science and it is all about weather, season and climate. I used my laptop in creating my lesson plan and print it. I used explicit method in doing my lesson plan b

Observation Week Hallooooo!!!! Hey! What’s with us now? I will share with you guys what are the things happened in my first week. *First Day wearing beautiful Hijab* Waking up so early with tremendous feelings, this happened in the 14th of January at the University of Lambung Mangkurat in Banjarmasin, Indonesia. It is our first day to be deploy to our respective school. At 7:00 am we  arrived  in SDN-SN PASAR LAMA 1.  *SDN-SN PASAR LAMA 1* It was overwhelming and  grateful  to be in SDN-SN PASAR LAMA 1  as I pursue  my  teaching  practicum. The Headmaster  and Teachers welcome as warmly as they one family. Students made  me  feel as their teacher and they were  truly  amazed when they knew that we are staying with them for almost a month . We introduce ourselves to Kelas I-VI for them to be more familiar to us and this is also one of my greatest experienced.  On the 15th of January, I had my first my observation in Kelas III-B and my cooperating teacher is Umi Z.

Banjarmasin *Map @ the Museum* When we reach Banjarmasin and we are still in the plane. I saw the top view of Banjarmasin, then I was wondering why this place is similar to our place in Philippines and it seems like there’s a lot of water forms. And I was right about what I thought because Banjarmasin is known to be “A City of a Thousand Rivers or River City”.  Bandjermasin or  Bandjarmasin, Chinese: pinyin  is the capital of South Kalimantan, Indonesia.  It is the biggest and the densest city in Kalimantan. This city is one of the biggest cities in Indonesia and outside of Java Island. The wid th of this city is around 72 km 2  which the area is divided into delta or islands that are consisted of 25 island—Tatas Island, Kelayan, Rantauan Keliling Island, Insane Island, atc. Pointed out of the BPS data of Banjarmsin in 2015, Banjarmasin has estimated population around 722,3 57 with density around 7,300/km 2  (19,000/sq mi). Banjarese language is the regional language that

Lambung Mangkurat University I don’t have any idea what’s within the University of Lambung Mangkurat, to be honest, I didn’t search any information about it even to Banjarmasin. In my less than a month of staying in ULM, there’s a lot of memories and experiences that were being build and treasured.  *Just only me, Fulling the beautiful Facade* *SEA-Teacher Batch 7 @ ULM Facade* ULM is a one of the greatest university that I’ve encountered. The officials and staffs are so kind, loveable, understandable and approachable. The facilities are good especially the house that we’ve been stayed. Actually, ULM is open to everyone even to the people of Banjarmasin.  *SEA- TEACHERS BATCH 7 with the ULM Officials* I was truly amazed when I saw the public park inside the University. I learned to love this university as time passed by. Now, let’s have a brief information and trivia of my beloved host University. Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) (Indonesian: Univer

Every journey has a great beginning and a painful ending. Mabuhay! I’m Khryss Anne Joyce G. Ungria from Pampanga State Agricultural University, Magalang, Pampanga, Philippines. I am one of the participant of SEA-Teacher Batch 7 at Lambung Mangkurat University. First, I will tell you my journey on my way to Banjarmasin. @NAIA Terminal 3 Take off....  Nervous, excited, scared, and happy? those are just some of the feelings I felt when I’m about to go to Banjarmasin. On the 12 th of January 2019, we are about to fly to Jakarta at Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 with my schoolmate at PSAU, I found it quite boring when we arrived in the airport because we waited too long as we have our early checked in. But the good thing is, I felt so excited to meet all of the staffs, buddies and my Co- SEA-Teachers who are in the host university.I find it hard to ride into an airplane at the first time, and it is quite exciting to fly high and see the lights at night.
